We have been sick all weekend, and we're still sick. It is not as much 'fun' being sick when you are a mom and wife, its a lot more 'fun' when your mom gets to take care of you! Oh, I miss those days of laying on the couch and my mom giving me apple juice, medicine, naps, cold wash cloth, and my only worry was yelling out loud enough for my mom if I needed something. What I wouldn't give for just ten uninterrupted, quiet minutes to help my sickly body.
I needed a little time out of the house. I was starting to get cabin fever, so on Sunday we went for a little drive up in the Wichita Mountains. It was a fun quick drive, and it felt nice to 'get out'. Since the weather wasn't 110+ we saw a lot of deer, buffalo, long horns, and prairie dogs. Owen loves being outside and seeing new things- he was a little worried about a deer standing right out our passenger window....and so was Athena ;) All in all it was exactly what we needed for the weekend ! :)
