Birthday Zoo Trip

Since Owen turned 1 this weekend we wanted to have a fun weekend, and one of the things we had planned was visit the zoo. Owen had so much fun! He loves to ride around in his stroller, be out side, and loved seeing all the animals! The weather was perfect the whole time we were there, it sprinkled on and off but, that was ok with us! We saved the giraffes, okapis, zebras, wild dogs for last and it is about as far away as you can get from the parking lot- its in the very back. On our way back to the car from these exhibits that sweet Oklahoma rain poured down on us, and we were soaking wet in just minutes. Owen thought it was silly- I would too if I was nice and dry in a comfortable stroller ;) We had tornado warnings too but nothing ever happened with that (thank goodness I thought we were done with that crap!!). We then went on to Daves sisters house, and Owen got to play with Kellen. It was a perfect day!

Owen had a really nice birthday-
We celebrated with our families in Idaho last month, but we didnt want to ignore his actual birthday so we had a couple presents, had cupcakes with birthday candles, and played, played, played!!  Owen and I even got to take a birthday nap together- hey! I deserved a congratulatory nap!

This bird I think was called a frog mouth bird, and he looked a lot like an owl- Adorable!

The Oklahoma zoo is the best zoo I have ever been to, yeah Boise is the only other one I have been too, but, still this zoo is fantastic- they have it all! We always have a great time, EVERYTIME!
