I got really lucky this summer and had my sister Sara and her kids come see me for two weeks, which was a freaking crazy mad house but we had THE BEST TIME!! We went to the water park, Amish country, splash park, shopping, cathedral caverns, Unclaimed Baggage, lots of park time, space center, war memorial, train museum, and I don't even know what else. We were so busy!!
My mom came to see me just a few weeks after that and stayed for just over a week. sigh. I hate only seeing my mom every 6 months. We had a great time, I felt like I was a whiny brat the whole time she was in town but she is the only one who puts up with it so I had to be a little bit.
I know I mentioned this in my other blog but I LOVE TO WATCH PEOPLE EAT, only if it is food I have made though. Creepy ehh? Well I am kinda a really good cook so I like to know how much other people like my food. Anyway, my mom was the BEST and loved, and I don't mean loved a little, I mean loved a LOT, she loved all my Whole30 meals and has partly switched to the paleo lifestyle, and I am so proud of her and my dad!
I tried to keep it easy on my mom while she was here because she has a bad knee, but I did make her rub my shoulders and my back. It was great.
We went to Amish country, space center, shopping, ect. I have a wild black berry patch behind my house and so we went and picked some berries. It was so fun to just be able to sit with her, and cook her food and take care of her! It was so hard to send her home. Besides having my mom, sister, and niece and nephew visit I also got 2 batches of sales people that stayed with us, which I also loved! We spent lots of time in the pool, with friends, hiking, biking, outdoors! What a good summer. Now bring on the red leaves, and pumpkin everything!
