When Dave and I got married we bought this brand new house in Nampa/Caldwell. It was so perfect for us! It was the cutest little 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. I was so happy to have a brand new house that no one else had made memories in, and I got to do all the memory making. We put down sod, sprinklers, and built a fence. We painted walls, built shelves in the garage, and planted flowers. We got in our first fights there (literally our first), got our dog Athena there, found out we were pregnant with Owen there, we raised 11 great dane puppies there, brought home a new baby there. I have so many emotions tied up in that house. We moved to Oklahoma when Owen was 7 months old and decided to rent it out. We have been renting it out for the past 2 years and we finally really realized we wouldn't be going back to Idaho, and we decided to sell it.
Dealing with renters has been hell, to put it lightly. Do you know how hard it is to clean, and manage a home from 2500 miles away? It's hard. I had a hard time having other people live in MY HOUSE, but I was so happy to sell it and not have to worry about it anymore. But this week while I signed away the title of my first home, and today while I turned off all my utilities it really hit me. I am heart broken. Here is to you 4518, you were a good house, and we will miss you!
