Kitchen Update

Dave and I have lived in this house for just over a year and I have had a really hard time enjoying my kitchen. It is shaped really weird. It's long and skinny. It's a galley kitchen, and super outdated. The wallpaper was 25 years old, discolored and ugly, and the counter tops are this wood looking Formica laminate, so tacky, and the cupboards are a reddish discolored nasty wood...did I mention the floors are green and white laminate? I couldn't even hang anything up on one of the thousand nails in the walls because nothing matched!

Please excuse my messy kitchen..why would I not take the pictures after I cleaned? I have been asking myself the same thing.

So, I ripped down the wallpaper and painted the kitchen a really pretty light grey. I really love it. It doesn't really match my cabinets, floors, or counter tops but those are gross and will come out too (Not by me, let me add!). I filled a thousand holes from nails and screws, and replaced the tacky red painted wooden switch covers with clean white ones. I am a happy lady. Best $20 I have ever spent!
I also replaced that tacky measurement chart I had. This one is much cuter!!

I will get some more pictures up :)
