OK. I have to brag! This past Sunday we were at our friends house to 'watch' the Superbowl and multiple times when I went to look for Owen I would find him in her kids' bathroom on their tiny potty. He was rolling his diaper up and throwing it away and going potty!
We only had one of those child seats that you set on a real toilet so they don't fall in, I bought that a long time ago because it was cheaper and I thought it would do the job. I guess not.
Monday morning I woke up early and ran to Walmart really quick to get an actual potty, and I got home before Owen was awake. As soon as he woke up I showed him the potty and he went pee in it. I reminded him to go every 15 minutes all morning and he did so great! We went to my friends house around lunch and he had an accident, but I figured he would. I mean, it was day one of potty training. After we got home he was going potty by himself and I didn't have to remind him to go! Today is Thursday and we have not had ONE accident since! I am seriously so proud and can not believe how easy it has been. I have taken him shopping with me and he has told me when he needs to go potty, held it, and went on the big scary public toilets.
I am so proud of my little stinker, he has grown up so quick, I mean, he did basically potty train himself in 1 day!
I know Owen turned two half way through October but we just took his pacifier away except for naps, and bedtime. I am also very excited about this. I am the mom that said my kid would not have it after their 1st birthday...
After we have been potty going pro's for at least a month we will throw it out for good! I can definitely wait. :)
