Yesterday we went to a specialist to have our 20wk ultrasound, the reason we went to a specialist is because our wonderful doctor sends all of her patients to a specialist for this ultrasound just to make double sure everything is perfect.
We found out were having a boy =] Im so happy, I didnt really have a preference on a boy or girl, I want 8ish kids so I know ill have both =]
The doctor that was performing the Ultrasound kept paying an awful lot of attention to where the umbilical cord was attached to my placenta. This worried David a little bit, and he knew something was....'off'. This portion of my ultrasound lasted close to an hour, than she said im going to get another person to come in and look at your baby, and smiled and left. So another doctor came in to look at our baby, and this confused me. She didnt look at our whole baby, she went straight to the umbilical cord attachment and she didnt look at anything else. She informed us that the umbilical cord is attached to the side of the placenta and everything looks great right now but I have to come back in a couple more weeks to have another ultrasound to make sure everything is still fine and that he is growing ok. They didnt say a lot about it and I feel like they didnt just to make me not worry, but I am. I want my baby to be perfect and healthy. This cord placement has cause 23wk gestation miscarriages(not that it only happens in the 23rd week but this was just one example I was using), early pre-mature labors, small babys, ect. Im have faith everything will go smoothly, im glad I have such wonderful doctors that take such good care of me =]
Our baby is so handsome and I cant wait until I get to hug him and kiss him :)
He moved so much yesterday, I cant wait until he is stronger so I cant feel him ALL the time!
I loved watching him move around so much, he had the hic-ups it was so cute!
Watching him swallow and move his little mouth was the most incredible thing! I love him sooo much already!!! :)
