Im excited to do it though :) It will keep me extra busy during the week, cause being pregnant, having a hyper pregnant dog, a super handsome needy husband, and working 6 days a week doesnt keep me busy enough :)
Recently my parents made a visit to the coast. They took their Great Dane and I was soooo jealous cause I was not invited ;). While my dad was there this lady was telling him that her sister in law had a Great Dane once, and while her sister in law was pregnant she was home alone with the dog. She was tired and went upstairs to her room to take a nap. When she got upstairs the dog was standing in front of her bed room door growling at her. He would NOT let her in and she was like what is wrong with you?! So she went back down stairs to take a nap on the couch. When she woke up hours later, she went back up stairs to go into her bed room but the dog was still standing in front of her door, but this time he was going crazy! He was jumping at her and barking and growling. She thought what is the matter with this dog?! He's part of my family!! Than out loud she said ' Is somebody in there?!' and a mans voice returned her and said 'YES! Can you just please call the police!?' hahahha :) a bad story turned good. So she said 'ughhh... yeah it will be a minute just take a seat' :) I love this. Athena is such a great pet, all great danes are, and really dogs are in general. I know she would protect me if someone were to enter our house uninvited. This great dane probably saved this pregnant ladies life!! These dogs were originally bred to be aggressive hunters, and they can be extremely mean. My moms is slightly aggressive, and is not good around other animals or people unless my mom is there to control him. It can be scary at times but i love that old grandpa of a dog no matter if he is a jerk :) I just thought that was the best story in the WHOLE WORLD!!! :)
So I LOVE my new job sooo much! I know I have mentioned this before but its really the best place for me to work,e specially while im pregnant. Its so great to know that everyone that I work with plays such in important part in helping people live normal lives. I have met some really scary, and some really interesting people. We had an 8ish year old client miss her session the other day and, yes, it frustrates us when people 'no-show'. Her mother called later that week and said 'sorry she missed her session she got her toes cut off by the lawn mower'. This is almost funny, but so sad cause it will forever change her life, and what the heck?! who thought it was a good idea to let her be under the lawn mower while they were mowing ;( Weird stuff happens to people.
A couple months ago I got to assist in a wreck. and im sure I have shared this story before but it was so great to be there and get hands on and help before officials arrived. I love to help people, it really makes you feel needed and important. Maybe I havent saved anyones life but I feel like its been pretty close :)
In a couple weeks my wonderful family from Oklahoma is coming and so we are going to have a little family baby shower since they wont be here for the actual shower. Im so excited to see them and all get together! It will be so fun! and anything that has to do with little baby cole makes me soooo happy :)
Im so happy that this warm weather is finally here! I cant wait to go camping, Dave and I have this beautiful camping spot in Norther Idaho at Black Lake, we cant wait to go back!! But Athena is due around July 24th... and I dont want to deliver babies in the mountains :)
That is all for today :)
