It was hard for me to get in the Christmas spirit this year with no family around but, I was super excited to have Christmas at home with Owen.
The day before Christmas eve I had a doctors appointment and got to hear that precious little heart beat, that was a good way to start the holiday week.
Christmas eve morning Owen woke up begging to open his Christmas eve present, instead we took a bath and when he got in he said "I have an idea! A Christmas light idea! Lets go look at Christmas lights!!!" We somehow made it through the day, went and looked at Christmas lights, came back and opened his present (jammies, movie, popcorn, juice box, Christmas book and goldfish crackers), watched his new movie, set out a water bottle and cookies for Santa and then went to bed. I was so excited to get the monster in bed so Santa could come!!
As soon as Owen woke up on Christmas morning he asked "did Santa come!?" It was really cute!
We had a good time opening presents and eating orange rolls, and cinnamon rolls. It was a great Christmas morning, and we had an even better Christmas dinner! Yum! I am a good cook ;)
This year Owen asked for:
Running car (yeah, Santa and I didn't know what that was until Christmas eve)
Train tracks
Trains

Owen's Birthday
I promise there is a short little blog post between birthday pictures and pre-3 pictures! ;)
For Owens birthday we went to the train museum, the zoo, had cake, opened presents, and went to dinner. He had a good birthday, even though it didn't all go as planned, he didn't mind! I was probably the only one "bummed out" that plans changed. Happy third birthday Owen we love you so much!

Santa Train & Pumpkin Train
This last October the 3 of us had planned on going to ride the pumpkin train. You boarded the train at the train museum and they drove you to a pumpkin patch, you picked a pumpkin and boarded the train back to the museum. We were super excited, and it was Owens birthday weekend so it was perfect timing, he loves trains and Halloween and pumpkins so even better! Well, we left late because Dave was shooting his bow at the neighbors, we got to the train museum with 5 minutes to spare only to find out we were at the wrong museum, we drove to the other one in time for the last train ride, bought our tickets, waiting around, and then found out they cancelled it due to mechanical issues. sigh. I probably cried. I am a huge boob when I get mad.
anywho..
We made it to the right museum for the santa train, (barely..my hair wasn't brushed and my makeup wasn't on because I thought our tickets were for a later ride) Owen was so excited to ride the train. Santa came and sat with us and Owen climbed right up on his lap and told him what he wanted for Christmas, and smiles the whole time. He asked for a train, train tracks, and train station. It was a 30 minute ride each way, and at the end the kids got a gift from the conductor. It was really fun!
