20 Weeks of Pregnancy

I am finally half way through my pregnancy. Well, it actually has gone by pretty quick. Dave and I are moving this month so I haven't set up the crib, washed baby clothes, purchased things we need, etc. I have a lot of sewing projects I need to do before baby comes, and I have been waiting to start them until we move because I packed all my craft stuff up. There is a lot we need to do to the actual house before baby comes as well, so now that I am down to 19 weeks I am feeling a little overwhelmed.
This week, on Monday we had an ultrasound to check on the baby. I was really nervous for this because we had such a complicated, high risk pregnancy with Owen. I didn't just have one problem, I had many, and my chances of going through all of that again is higher and it has been weighing heavy on me. When we went in for our 20week ultrasound when I was pregnant with Owen we found our first two problems. Because of those I had to have bi-monthly, and then weekly ultrasounds to check on Owen. All of my Ultrasounds were done with a special maternal fetal medicine doctor, I started meeting with my regular OBGYN bi-weekly when I should have been meeting with her monthly and she also gave me ultrasounds in the office, and I was admitted into the hospital and many of my appointments.
You all know how much this pregnancy means to us. It is something we have been wanting for a long time. To see our ultrasound with this second baby was such a relief to see ZERO problems. I am very hopeful that I will stay healthy this pregnancy but i'm not holding my breath. We have been so blessed with this pregnancy, and my health has been amazing. I really want to go full term and go into labor on my own. We had an emergency induction at 37 weeks, following on of our regular checkups, with Owen. Talk about a bad time to not bring the hospital bag. I am really excited to go drug free, and keep that tasty placenta healthy so I can bring it home with me.
I am so thankful that the baby and I are healthy so far, and we are so excited to be having another boy! Boys are seriously so much fun, and having two will be such a blessing..and such a mess ;)
Owen is so sweet to me, he kisses my belly and talks to my belly, and always talks about his little brother. When we go to the store he wants to buy things for the baby, and he is always looking at the ultrasound pictures He is so excited to help with his brother and I know he will be an amazing older brother! I am feeling so blessed! Thanks everyone for all the positive vibes, we have felt them all.

Top 7 of 2014

I started this post on NYE, but stopped because what I planned on being my Top 10 of 2014, turned into my Top 7 things. We truly had a great year, sure we had ups and downs, but overall we had fun with friends, family, at the beach, exploring new places, at the garden, in the pool, on hikes, etc.
So my TOP 10 ended at TOP 7 and that's okay!
On NYE we were all in bed before 10 (YES!!) and I do not regret it!

Around the New Year people usually complain about how it was such a terrible year and they hope the new year will be better, and they can't wait to leave that year in the past. Yeah a lot of junky things seem to happen, I mean out of 365 days the odds of bad days are pretty good and I have been thinking a lot about this the last couple weeks, So that's why I wanted to highlight the good of the year..

My Top 10  7: (not in any particular order)

1.News of another baby. This was some of the best news I could ask for. We were anxious for this babe to get in my belly.

2.Going to Disney World and numerous trips to the Ocean. Owen had such a good time on the trip to WDW, and it was nice to get away with friends. Every trip we took to the ocean we had friends with us, friends make trips so lively! I love friend trips!

3.Visitors. We didn't get to go to Idaho this year but we did have some wonderful company! We had 6 sales people stay with us this summer. My sister Sara and her kids came, my mother came, and Davids sister Kim and most of her kids came!

4.Completing a Whole30. I know people are tired of hearing about Whole30, but I am so glad that I learned about it, and committed to it. It has helped my health so much.

5.Preapproval. We recently got preapproved to buy another house. I am really excited to have my own home, but the looking process is frustrating! Let's hope this house hunt goes faster than our last. One of our friends here just got their Realtor license, so things are starting to kick into gear and I am really excited.

6. Truck. I know this sounds super lame to have this in my TOP, but David got a new work truck and I get to drive it when he isn't. It has been SO nice. Our old car (which I love) didn't have a heater and it has been so cold this winter, I would die without the heater in the new truck!

7.Baby L. This Fall one of my friends had the opportunity to take a teaching job at a local University. She worked 3 days a week, so Owen and I got to tend to her sweet boy the whole semester! We love that little guy so much!!

Maybe I could throw it #8? I am glad Dave never brought Roaches or Bedbugs home (my worst fear), and that I have lived bug free this year!
