Owens Mullet is No More!

Owen is drawing so close to one year it is insane, I keep reminiscing about the last couple weeks of my pregnancy. I  miss it- I miss feeling his little bum push out my belly, and his legs kicking so hard I thought he would break a rib, I miss when he would changed positions and my baby belly would be so lop sided. I knew I had a strong healthy boy in there, and he came out more perfect than I ever pictured!

Owens hair has been growing a lot faster on the bottom than on the top- he pretty much had a mini mullet. It was so cute, but kinda silly, i loved running my fingers through it, but I wasnt about to be the mom that never cuts her little boys hair no matter how cute she think it might be, Its cuter when they look nice and clean, and a mullet doesnt have nice and clean in its description...

So yesterday I gave both my boys a buzz!

Owen looks so dang cute still, and more grown up!!
AND he popped tooth # 7 through yesterday, he has 3 more that are trying to break soon- poor guy, hopefully he can catch a break after them!!

Cold Weather ?

Its been a lot cooler in Oklahoma the last couple weeks, we even wore jackets once or twice, and I could open the windows with out it heating up the house like an oven! I have been loving it!! We have been having hot chocolate and apple cider, and i made noodles this weekend so i can make chicken noodle soup tomorrow. I love the colder season's ! Fall and winter are my favorites, i love spring and summer too though ;) something else we love about fall is the FOOTBALL it brings! I got the Christmas music out, and I'm getting Christmas stuff so I'm feeling pretty merry ;) we have been spending much more time out doors- Owen would live in the yard if he could. He loves being outside, he loves holding Athena's leash and being 'in control' of her.
Hope everyone is enjoying the start of fall!

Idaho and Owens PARTY!

A bunch of my pictures loaded squaty and weird looking, so use your imaginations!!

Owen and I got to go home for a few days this last week and it was so much fun, I just want to be done with airplanes for a while...right.

Our flight from OKC to Vegas was over booked so we opted to stay a few more hours in OKC and go to Denver instead- They made it worth it ;) On the flight from OKC to Denver we had a special Southwest employee on the flight and after we took off he got out a microphone and said "WE'RE GOING TO PLAY A GAME!" Oh boy, it made the flight so much fun! We played what he called "Airline Kitchen", he picked 3 people and gave them peanuts, crackers, marshmallows, candy corn, rolos, and a couple other things and gave them a few minutes and they had to make a 'meal', when they all finished everyone on the plane clapped for them- I felt like we were all best friends on this flight, it was so much fun!! Everyone voted on the winner, and he gave out prizes. An air freshener to 2nd, and 3rd place and a round trip ticket to 1st! WHOOO! This was such a great start to my trip!

I didnt have time to see everyone, but we will come for an extra long stay at Christmas with hopefully more than enough time to visit everyone!
We got to see my Bestie Shalisa and her little baby Tayvn- He is such a chunk, and I am a sucker for chunky babies! Our good friends Shevy, and Reilly came to see us with their new babies Hadlee, and Teagan. I was in baby heaven!! Owen is not really a baby any more- He sleeps all night, doesnt use bottles, has a big kid car seat, weighs a freak ton, runs around on his feet, and is almost one whole year old! Sheeeshh!!!

Owen 10mo, Hadlee 6wk, Tayvn 4wk, Teagan 3wk

We had a birthday party for Owen with our family while we were there and it was great! Owen got lots of great gifts, and we had a great time and had lots of yummy snacks and drinks!!

Some things Owen loves are Cheese its, Juice pouches, dog food(he always gets his hands on the dog food no matter where I put it!), PB/J's

Dont judge me on this cake. I made an experiment one that turned out way better than this- the shades were better and I did stripes on the bottom layer and dots on the top and it was just so cute- I was pleased with how it turned out and knew the real deal would turn out even better and I was so excited!! Then it wasnt going well so I didnt give it much effort. On Owens real birthday Ill make one thats even better, and actually put in an effort ;) Owen thought it was great so that my friends is what counts!

Paper Straws.. my FAVORITE!

I like to think Owens favorite colors are blue and green- Really everythin he owns is blue and green

I got a few pictures before people showed up- this was Owens little time line, and where the gifts would soon be stacked!

Chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter cream cheese frosting- I make these so good!!!

Grandma Foster!

I hate this dang hat mom!

This party was way to exciting apparently ;)

When I give Owen 'finger' food, he hesitates to touch it at first. It takes him a minute (everytime) to decide if its worth the nasty mess....It always it though!!

We had to take a break from the party to take a quick bath!! We were MESSY!!

I got to see a lot of people, and I even have some good stories from this trip- but this was our trip in a nutshell!

We flew home on 9/11 which was a very awkward day to fly. The airports seemed very empty- surprisingly (to me) they spoke about it on the intercom on the plane and in the terminal almost the whole time. I assumed it would be more of a touchy subject for the airlines on the anniversary.
Phoenix International Airport
Owen has been such a great flyer! I have been so luck every single time!!

Owen and I sure missed these two, and were very happy to be with them again !

Look at these two handsome guys!
