The Wild Life: Wichita Mountains

Yesterday, after church we decided to go for a 'quick' drive to try and spot some wild bison, long horns, deer, whatever! We drove up to the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge and drove and drove and drove. I got out of the car only twice- it was super hot, and Owen was asleep.
We stopped off at the visitors center and grabbed a map, saw some buffalo, a deer, lots of prairie dogs, 1,000 different lakes and dams, we then drove to Holy City but we didnt get out or take any pictures so we will have to go back another time, we drove up past medicine park, and circled our way around Mount Scott. Dave said he thought someone told him it was the tallest point in Oklahoma. From the top it looked like we were high up but it took like 4 minutes to get to the top. It was a really pretty drive!

This last weekend Owen and I drove to the city to meet dad and the other guys after their kite boarding lessons. We went and hung out at one of the family's house (The Christensens and all their cousins are so fantastic!), all the kids were playing in the pool and the moms got to sit and visit, it was so nice. I love having time with grownups! ;). After all the dads and boys showed up Owen got to get in a swimming pool for his very first time! This made me feel a lot better than a public pool, or lake. Owen wasn't in long but he had a BLAST! He is such a cutie pie!

Some Other Good Things:

• We go to Utah next week!
• I went to Hobby Lobby last week and their Christmas stuff was being put out..like 12 isles FULL
• We FINALLY bought a dang family pass to the okc zoo!
• I got a sweet new cutting board, and it was on sale!

It's Only Wednesday!

So far this week has been a pretty good one! I feel like time has slowed down a lot lately, but when you have a few super fun trips planned thats just what time does!

I have really enjoyed my cell phone (not just this week...all the time!!) because it lets me call my mom and my sisters and my friends and it helps me miss them a little less..until we get off the phone that is ;) These are a few other things that I have really enjoyed this week...
