McCall Ice Festival

Owen LOVES to be outside, its silly really cause its FREEZING COLD. But no matter how cold he gets or how red his tiny nose is he is always so happy yo be outside. What a boy! We went to the ice festival and he was a trooper and stayed outside for 4hours with out a break. We almost got ran over while we were walking down the road by some crazy deer, but Owen didnt seem to mind that either ;) We ate a wonderful lunch at the Pancake House- YUMMM. We parked our car at rite aid right by the first light as you come into McCall and walked ALL the way down to the lake and all around.. then of course the worse part- Walking back. We survived. AND had a lot of fun. AND didnt lose any of the 8 kids we brought. That made it a pretty darn good day.

Owen LOVES Food

Today I am so exremely grateful for good friends. Owen eats like no body's business and formula is so expensive. I unfortunately never had a good milk supply and I felt bad for not being able to give Owen Mother Milk. He deserves it. My sweet sweet friend who had a baby 1 month ago is producing more milk than her baby could even dream of eating ;) That sweet friend is donating her milk to us so Owen doesn't have to be on formula all the time. This might seem odd to some people but I feel so good about it and Owen will really benefit from it! Im so glad that this is even a possibility. Im so grateful so such a sweet friend who felt motivated to offer me this idea, and im grateful for an open mind, I know that 2 years ago I would never dream of something like this but I guess since im a mom now these are exactly the kinds of things I dream of :) Thank you sweet baby Emma for sharing your mommas milk with our sweet baby Owen, We love you like crazy for it!!

Our Week at a Glance

Last night I went to Target- probably top three of my favorite stores to go to. I love their baby selection! So I bought like 3 jumbo packs of wipes and like 5 jumbo packs of diapers cause I had coupons that were expiring them so even though we didnt really NEED them, i figured one day proabably soon we would so I stocked up on one size that we dont have much in. PLus I am crazy about Hugggies (and Pampers) rewards codes and so any chance I have to get more I will take it! My sweet and spoiled baby got some new dinosaur jammies cause dinosaurs are his favorites :) He got a bunch of stuff, He is so much fun to shop for!
We gave Owen his first taste of Mashed pears. He was super tired so he didnt eat much but he seemed to LOVE it  and I cant wait to give him some more tonight :) We have given him food before but this was his first real baby food :) So that makes it special hahah He has had crackers, baby puffs, carrots and oranges. Sharing an Orange with Daddy is his favorite :)
Dave and I bought a new couch and it makes its arrival tomorrow early morning! I cant wait, the ones we have are leather and I HATE leather, plus this new one is a big sectional so there is WAY more room!

Dave, Owen and I are going to McCall again this weekend to go to the icefestival with my family, it will be a great way to spend the whole day!

This week I got my hair done FINALLY! First time since I found out I was pregnant! I cut off 5+ inches! and its still soooo long!! David didnt even notice 5 inches were missing and I saw one of my friends while my hair was being done and she thought I was getting extensions and I said nope just cut off 5inches ha We obviously have not seen eachother in a while, I think it had been like 6 months!

Owen and I bought daddy a 'ninja suit' for snow boarding and he has gone like 3 times since the mountain opened last week and has wore it everytime and loved it ! We also got daddy a spiral notebook that has a photo of Owen as the cover so he can use it at school, its the cutest thing ever! I want to order one for myself!  speaking of snowboarding I can not wait to go this year, we are trying to plan a trip with our friends Nick and Darendy but its so hard to work around 5 peopls work schedules! (the fifth being the babysitter )

We have some new neighbors that are moving in right accross the street and I cant wait! I love new neighbors and I hope these ones are normal ;) But I guess ill take them either way. Im excited to make them some goodies this weekend too!

All three of us went the chiropracter this week, Owens back was out of place in 3 spots and his neck was out they fixed him up and he is better than new! Child birth does crazy things to you and baby ill tell you what!

I got some hard cover books of owen printed and done, they got mailed to us this week and they are sooo cute :) I love looking at all the pictures, they are so much easier to look at than regular baby books and pictures books, we have been working on his baby book though and its so much fun, we made a ceramic mold of his fist and arm and iits so sweet , we did it on his 3rd month birthday. I wish we did one for his new born fist too so we can remember all the different sizes, every 3 months would have been ideal ;). I got out his hand and feet prints and all his hospital and newborn stuff AGAIN and it made me cry..AGAIN :) its so precious. He is the best baby and more cute than any baby I have ever seen, He is so giggley and smiley and he thinks everyone is so silly. :) makes me feel old and like these next 18 years will fly by. *tear.
Were having so much fun being a fanily. Its the best.

Thursday Thursdayy Thursdayyyyy

Owen is sleeping, and so, because were at work im bored and want him awake soooo bad hah. Well, Whats new at the Cole house? Really a lot, but, at the same time nothing because Im not sharing any of it today hahah. Im so excited to go watch Beauty and the Beast 3D, That is my favorite story! Always has been, always will be. Im so excited to see The Vow!! Ive been looking forward to that for months :) Im so excited to go see The Fray, Something ive been looking forward to since the minute they announced it! Something else im SUPER DUPER excited for is....... My sister gets home Feb 14th!!! so that day Owen has a checkup in the am, then a matinee for The Vow, then the airport at 4! Yesss!! I know you were all asking what my plans were for the day ;) This Monday Owen has a Chiropractor appointment! I cant wait! I decided to take him cause my sister-in-law has always taken her babies so I thought I would too. You know when you sleep odd and it makes your back hurt? Well, babies sleep odd all the time so why wouldnt theirs hurt occasionally too? Seems smart to take them!
Im getting my hair cut next week! I think ill cut off about 5inches, That will still keep it wellll under my boobs. I did not know what other body land mark to use so excuse my use of boobs ! But i cant wait to not have to brush those 5 inches.
When Owen was younger (like he's so old?) you always had to do something funny to make him laugh cause when you tried to tickle him he would just get irritated and now he is soooo ticklish!! I love it!! He is the best, most adorb, smartest, sweetest baby. Dave and I sure love him. Athena and Owen are already best friends :)

Today

Today I was thinking about child birth, surprise surprise ;) Im part of this moms group on facebook, which, I love. Someone one their had posted that they were headed to the hospital to birth a baby, and it made me so so super duper excited! Babies are so fun, hard work, but so so special. I care about myself so much less now that I have Owen. Did I word that right? Im not so self centered! There we go! I dont think I was super self centered in the first place but after having a babe they will show you that you are/were. Now my whole life is centered around this tiny little stinker. and, its the best! When I read that post to that momma I thought WHOA! I was super excited for her, but mostly really jealous! NO, I do not want baby #2 right now. No, I do not want all my pregnancy symptoms. No, I do not want 24+ hours of hard labor. What I miss about pregnancy, labor and delivery is feeling my baby kick me from the inside, I truly loved delivery. Once it got rollin' it was not scary, but instead very special, and yes, even painful. I would deliver a baby every day if I could hahah The silly thing is, im 100% serious. I want more children someday but im not quite ready to have more babies!
Owen and I are just chillin at work together right now, and oh boy are we workin hard! **NOTE: Bring extra clothes to work not only for baby but for mom as well, when a baby messes his current outfit chances are he is messing moms current outfit.
Jeeeshh I need to remember that all the time and not just when im in need of a new shirt! You might have thought white was a bad color to wear but BLACK is just as bad... all that white spit up stays white on your shirt.
That is all, I know, I know, short and random. But thats the way I do things!
Happy Friday!!!

My Story Telling.

I had a chat with my wonderful and handsome husband this morning, He kindly let me know I was maybe a dramatic person, he did not come out and say it but I knew what he was getting at, he wasn't telling me I needed to change he was just saying hey when you tell stories you make them dramatic. He promised me it was all in love, and I, was not offended one bit. Am I guilty of this? Yes, yes I am. I tell a story to catch peoples 'eyes'. I don't lie or make anything up, I will simply use a dramatic tone of voice, and really really get into detail on some parts and maybe little, or a lot, less detail on other parts ;) If its a serious story I will tell it like it is but, if its a story that would be "OMG AWESOME" if I told it 'right', heck yeah, you bet Ill tell it that way! Like on a previous post I talked about my birthday present that was a 3500$ vacuum, Was it a 3500$ vacuum? Yes it was. Did we pay 3500$ for that vacuum? No, we did not. We payed a lot.. more than 999$ but less than 3500$, Is it awesome? FETCH. YES. So I might have left out that little detail, that we DID NOT pay 3500$ for a vacuum. Oh, but I would have.

My handsome and wonderful husband has been keeping soo busy with school, he took a billion credits of the Christmas break and is now almost back at school for his last semester taking over the ammount of 'allowed' credits, He had to write a letter to the University to ask for more credits, because its his last semester they said yes. He is taking some really intersting intersession classes right now. One of his classes, for a online project, they had to go to this blog and read it and write about it somehow, do I know how? No I do not. BUT this blog is my new addiction. Its called POSTSECRETS. and. it is. FABULOUS. People go on there and they annonomously post thier secrets. (well actually they decorate a postcard and write it on that and then mail them to the guy, Frank, and he post them.) Its a fantastic idea if you ask me. I love to know things about everything, and even though I dont know the beholder of these secrets, I dont know their name, or where they are from, but, its fascinating. Some of these secrets make my heart ache, some of them make my jaw drop, and some of them delight me sooooo much my eyes get wide and my mouth opens with a huge smile and my heart starts to throb (in a good way).
Here are a couple I just read today that I want to share :) :

To the cute, sweet, innocent little 6 year old girl I pulled out of that car last night, You saved me more than I saved you.

Last night I txt my grandmom 'happy 2012', she replied she loved me and have a great 2012. She died in 2010. Thanks stranger.

The worst part about being lonely is that you have no one to tell.

By not depending on God, I think I found him.

I work for a doctor setting up appointments. I try to schedule people together who I think would make a great couple.

I danced to our song at my wedding, it was my way of saying 'I'm over you'.

I steal medical supplies from my work and take them to third-world countries. They need them more than we do.

There are some secrets so fabulous, or sad that you just have to see the actual postcard it was sent on to even understand/ or not understand the secret. He posts the actual postcard on the blog. I HAVE to buy his books, full of secrets on postcards. They must be wonderful. Im so glad my husband let me stubble across this blog on his opened computer :) I think everyone should take the time to look at it. (FYI: he only posts every Sunday and you can only view the posts from the Sunday that just happened, Make sense? I cant see last weeks posts, only this Sundays post, next Sunday they will be hidden and I will only be able to view the recent ones.)

Have a beautiful day, im trying to even though im at work, Daves at work, and our sweet baby is hanging out with Grandma today for a couple hours so I could get some much needed work done at work today. Oh! I miss his sweet cheeks :)

The Last Week of 2011

2011 was a wonderful year for us! Im even more excited for 2012 though!
In 2011 Dave and I found out we were pregnant the middle of February and got to experience this amazing pregnancy all most the whole year, and after it was over we got to bring this sweet little baby into our home. We love him so much, its great to see how much he grows and changes and learns everyday! I also started a wonderful job in 2011 while I was pregnant and they have allowed me to bring Owen to work, what a blessing! David was busy with school and working at Ada Co Sheriffs office. We enjoyed this year mostly. It was incredibly busy though! I look forward to watching Owen grow more this year, I have at least 6 close friends that are pregnant and more friends than that that are pregnant. I cant wait to be part of their pregnancy's and motherhoods. Dave and I are considering moving across the country this summer and renting out our home...Nothing official, just a thought! It has its Pro's and Con's but the Pro's outweigh the Con's so we will decide if this is something we infact want to do or not.

The last week of 2011 was a great week. We had Christmas eve, Christmas, My birthday, McCall trip, lots of family time, New Years eve, and  Owens blessing day.
Chirstmas was so much fun, It was obviously Owens first Chirstmas so we continued with some traditions for him, Chirstmas ornanment every year, he got the cutest ornament I have ever seen! We started the Christmas jammies with him too!
Since Owen was just born he really doesnt need anything but we still wanted to get him some things since it was his first! We bought him a play mat (which we got out early) and he loves it sooooooo much! He got a blanket from Gma Foster and 2 books and a shirt from Gma Cole, and we bought him a few outfits and stuff.

Between Dave and I we got too much stuff ;) Dave bought me a sewing machine and I am so excited about it! I have been wanting one and this one is soooo perfect and does sooo much! It quilts and does over 70 stitches. Wow. Its awesome. Dave got a big game package from me, I think it was his favorite. It was a game chair that has speakers in it, a game, PS3 Move and all its remotes and Owen 'got' him a keyboard for his PS3, anyway it was great, our stockings were stuffed and we had so much fun!
We spent Christmas with both familys and we got to Skype with my sister Molly who is on a mission. It was great! The day after Christmas we went to McCall and stopped at Warm Lake on the way up to see our Aunt and we visited with her for a while. McCall was fun, there was not much snow, but, there was some. We went ice skating, tubing, out to dinner, hot tubing, swimming. It was fun. I was so glad to be home though. For my 21st birthday we went out to dinner and played games (my 3500$ HYLA was my birthday present).  New years eve we blessed our beautiful baby. He was so crabby that day but as soon as we started the blessing with prayer he relaxed and was so happy and when Dave opened his eyes and looked at Owen after the blessing he had a huge smile on his face. He's such a good baby. :)  I know this whole post was jumbled and possibly confusing but I am writing in a hurry ;) Here are some pictures from the last week!
Happy New Year!
